Fraunhofer IPA’s “Global Environmental Compliance” Expert Forum

The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) in Stuttgart launched the Expert Forum Product Development and Recycling back in 1994. In the last 20 years, a total of more than 100 partner companies from industry, trade and sales as well as associations, logistics service providers, dismantling companies, recyclers, municipalities and representatives of the authorities have participated in the Expert Forum Product Development and Recycling.
The Product Development and Product Recycling Expert Forum “International substance bans, RoHS, REACH, ecodesign and ElektroG/WEEE” will be continued under the title “ExFo 2023 – Global Environmental Compliance”. In each of the six working meetings and a final public conference, information on product-related environmental legislation will be presented and solutions developed to the questions raised by the participants.
In addition, the expert forum sees itself as a platform that supports the exchange of knowledge between individual companies and at the same time acts as a bridge to relevant government institutions (e.g. authorities). Currently, the working group consists of about 90 participants from industry, associations and authorities.
The thematic focus of the session is “WEEE & Conflict Minerals, whereby circular economy topics will also be covered.
