On March 5th 2024, CIRPASS held its Final Event “State of play and possible future developments of the DPP”, in a hybrid form in Brussels, Belgium. The focus of the event was on critical issues still facing the DPP, exploring “Why, What, How, and When” aspects related to Digital Product Password (DPP) development and future deployment.
Presentations of the CIRPASS project results and those of the two other collaborating projects, BatteryPass and Product Information 4.0, provided background for these conversations. Attendees acquired a deeper comprehension of the DPP’s prospects and challenges, both present and future, as well as how these three projects are collaborating to enhance and motivate the European Commission work on the DPP.
The meeting had the participation of CIRPASS partners, European Commission members, and partners from the two invited projects, Product Information 4.0 and BatteryPass. In total, 93 people were present at the Albert Borschette Centre in Brussels, and more than 1000 attendees were online sharing impressions about the presentations.
It was a full day of discussions about the future state and developments of DPP. More than 340 questions were addressed to the participants through Slido; and 3 panels, 32 speakers, and important results and initiatives were discussed between participants on site, allowing not just fruitful exchange but also networking for future endeavors and for the CIRPASS-2 project, starting now in May 2024.
All the information shown during the day of the event, including presentations, short videos, recordings and the Q&A file are already available on the event’s page on the CIRPASS website.
